Broke College Students: Here's How You Can Travel Internationally This Summer

You've been studying all semester and it's finally time for a break, right? But if you're counting your last laundry coins and thinking that a vacation will be impossible, think again. We're not talking about just a day at the local beach -- this is about to get international.

WWOOFing is our favorite activity for the summer, or anytime of year. And no, it's not running around looking for dogs. It's a program that promotes volunteering at organic farms all over the world. You work for four to six hours a day on a farm, with a variety of tasks, and in exchange receive food, accommodation, and of course, the experience of a lifetime. Here's why it's so great.

There are flexible schedules.

Have a whole semester off? Or just Spring Break? Your WWOOF visit can be customized to fit your schedule. They go from as little as a few days to up to six months.

There are over 100 countries to choose from.

The choice is yours. Check out each country's website to see their unique offerings. It's a great opportunity to step outside of your comfort zone, learn a new language, or just experience a new culture.

You'll come back with much more than just a sunburn.

WWOOFing is a chance to make friends, be exposed to new skills, and come back with a story to tell. Now that's what we call travel.

Find out more about WWOOF and plan your next getaway today.
