We Compared vVARDIS To Drugstore Whitening Strips. Here’s What We Found

There’s no shortage of teeth whitening treatments nowadays -- between pens, dental strips, and even UV lights, there are tons of solutions on the market for those looking for a brighter smile. But often, so many are focused on whitening that they neglect their overall oral hygiene on their quest for pearly whites.

While UV kits can irritate the stomach and even lead to nerve damage, the drugstore solutions aren’t much better and contain chemicals that damage tooth enamel and cause sensitivity.

Unlike both these options, our editors recently heard about a revolutionary new company disrupting the space that prioritizes both whitening and oral health simultaneously. vVARDISis an oral care solution that aims to change the way we approach our daily routine.

vVARDIS was created by dentists and offers everything you need to keep your teeth looking and feeling their best. But how does it compare to the big-name drugstore teeth whitening brands that have such a loyal following?

Our editors compared vVARDIS to a popular brand of over-the-counter whitening strips. Here’s what we found:

Key Similarities:

  • Both can whiten your teeth up to 10 shades

Key Differences:

  • vVARDIS Whitening Collection contains teeth whitening toothpaste, a toothbrush, dental highlighter, and whitening serum that work together to achieve the best results
  • vVARDIS uses their breakthrough patented WX Formula
  • vVARDIS is clean, vegan, and contains no sulfates, parabens, or hydrogen peroxide
  • Drugstore brands contain whitening strips only
  • Drugstore brands contain hydrogen peroxide which can strip the tooth’s protective enamel and lead to increased sensitivity
  • vVARDIS delivers to your doorstep

vVARDIS Teeth Whitening Overview:

Created by a team of dentists and scientists, vVARDISis on a mission to eradicate tooth decay by setting a new standard in oral care. Their line of products are inspired by nature and work to whiten and strengthen your teeth.

vVARDIS is unique for many reasons: it’s clean, sustainable, vegan and cruelty-free, and uses innovative technology to mimic our teeth’s natural state. This is the first clean teeth whitening brand we’d come across, and we were intrigued to see how the results compared.

vVARDIS has a long list of all-star teeth whitening treatment options, each lovingly named after beautiful places in the Swiss Alps, but their Whitening Collection is what really caught our eye. It contains Enamel Anti-Aging Whitening Toothpaste, a Wooden Enamel Caressing Toothbrush, Enamel Highlighter mouthwash, and White Enamel Serum. All of these products are to be used together to achieve a whiter, cleaner smile. And can we just say - the packaging is gorgeous (and sustainable, of course).

All you have to do is sweep the White Enamel Serum on your teeth after brushing! The Serum contains their patented WX Formula that utilizes amino acids to create enamel-like layers - in fact, the WX Formula is one of the greatest scientific discoveries in the last two centuries of oral care. A vegan product with teeth whitening abilities such as this, paired with revolutionary tech, has never existed before!

The Whitening Serum can improve your smile's appearance by up to 10 shades, and is gentle enough to be used daily on veneers, ceramic crowns, and fillings -- a game-changer. Unlike other teeth whiteners, this gel actually strengthens the enamel on your teeth while also protecting them from daily wear. Our editors who have sensitive teeth noticed they had no sensitivity at all with the vVARDIS serum while whitening their teeth.

The special Enamel Anti-Aging Whitening Toothpaste comes in a soft mint or strong mint flavor. We all went with soft mint which was nice and subtle. The toothpaste combined with the Enamel Highlighter mouthwash left our mouths feeling clean and fresh. The wooden Enamel Caressing toothbrush has scientifically designed bristles so it’s sleek and made for an entirely new brushing experience -- talk about an oral care routine upgrade!

Plus, we loved how gently it cleaned our teeth - no more scrubbing til we felt clean.

Drugstore Teeth Whitening Overview:

Most big teeth whitening brands that you can get at your local drugstore contain harsh and toxic chemicals such as hydrogen peroxide and can damage teeth. Research has also shown that UV teeth whitening can lead to stomach problems.

The whitening strips used as a comparison are a popular well-known brand from our local drugstore.

The instructions told us to use them once a day for 30 minutes. Unsurprisingly, the ingredients list included hydrogen peroxide. After using them for a few days we noticed that although our teeth were getting whiter, some of us started feeling pain while using them and experienced tooth sensitivity throughout the day.

There’s no doubt that these strips were damaging our teeth, not to mention the fact they’re bad for the environment, too.

Final Thoughts:

After using the entire vVARDIS Whitening Collection for two and a half weeks, our smile is whiter and our teeth are cleaner and stronger than ever. Plus, we didn’t experience any sensitivity.

The drugstore brands may whiten your teeth a few shades, but we’d much rather play the long game and avoid the toxic ingredients and sensitivity!

vVARDIS has changed our approach to teeth whitening for sensitive teeth and our oral care routine. Instead of trying a quick-fix whitening brand, vVARDIS offers a long-term way to whiten your smile without causing eroded enamel or sensitivity. Their White Enamel Serum is truly one-of-a-kind, you won’t find another whitening product that is actually good for your teeth.

Plus, the products actually made us excited for our once mundane morning routine! Brushing our teeth doesn’t feel like a chore anymore, but a small ritual we get for ourselves.

If you want to get a whiter smile the healthy way, we couldn’t recommend vVARDIS more - it's by far the best teeth whitening kit on the market.
