Working from home means eating at home, and eating at home typically means several trips to the grocery store to stay stocked up.
I was frequenting the grocery store so often that I started going to a local drug store instead. The upside is that the drugstore is closer, there are barely any shoppers, and the lines are much shorter; the downside is that the aisles are packed with high fructose corn syrup cereals, salty nuts, calorie-loaded cookies, crackers and frozen pizzas–my downfall.
Normally, I eat pretty healthy, but with all the stress lately I was having trouble resisting my go-to comfort foods like cookies and milk for a midday snack.
My increased sugar intake had been affecting my blood sugar levels and my moods, and I was worried that my immune system would take a hit due to my newly found unhealthy habits. I had to get my regular healthy diet back on track, but it's such a challenge right now.
I've tried meal kit delivery services in the past, but they deliver weekly and I don't always have time to schedule them into my week. I'd prefer food for the entire month in one delivery..
However, the companies that send a month's worth of smoothies wouldn't satisfy my appetite–that would send me into a cookie and pizza relapse, for sure.
I was getting frustrated until I came across Nutrisystem. My mom tried Nutrisystem years ago, andt did wonders for her–so I trusted that it would keep me feeling full and help me get back on track with healthier eating habits. When I checked out their website, I was super impressed. They have Basic and Uniquely Yours 4-week-plans that also cater to men, diabetics and vegetarians.
I selected their Uniquely Yours Plan, which provides three meals and three snacks per day. Nutrisystem's monthly shipments include popular, ready-to-eat meals, lunches and snacks. I'd be enjoying six meal occasions a day, every day, for a full month!
I signed up and was thrilled when the first monthly shipment arrived on my doorstep a few days later. The next morning, I started in with a Turkey Ham & Cheese Omelet–so yummy! Lunch was Spicy Kung Pao Noodles, then Italian Sausage and Turkey Pepperoni Pizza for dinner. All the foods were so delicious.
Later that evening, I cooled off with a Nutrisystem® Ice Cream Sandwich–no dessert guilt here!
Nutrisystem's team of experts have created pre-portioned, nutritional meals that include a balance of complex carbs, protein and fiber. No need to count calories or worry about portions. Their meals keep me feeling full for longer while providing the needed nutritional value for a balanced diet.
